Today I volunteered at the Foundling Museum for the Victorian Christmas party for children. We dressed them up, painted their faces, made optical toys, peg dolls, and sugar mice. There was also a reading by the author from his book about Charles Dickens inventing Christmas. Then I decided to cook and bake, so I spent hours in the kitchen cooking chicken tetrazzini and chocolate chip cookies for Chris and myself. Both were really good, much to my surprise!
